WHERE ELSE TO APPLY

There are three computer databases about funding sources managed by the Funding Information Service:

Fundview provides information for community groups in New Zealand. It includes funding schemes run by the Government, philanthropic, local government, statutory trusts, local trusts and service organisations. As well as via the website, access is available at most libraries and civic buildings throughout New Zealand. You can work through the extensive list of providers and identify whether your organisation is eligible for financial assistance.

Breakout is New Zealand's primary source of information on academic, sporting, industry and arts grants, scholarships and awards available to assist individuals. The database contains over 2000 awards, scholarships and grants that include undergraduate and postgraduate study, research, professional development and travel.

CorporateCitizens provides information as to sourcing funds from businesses offering sponsoship, volunteering, mentoring, gifts in kind, loans and other initiatives.

You could also try one of the philanthropic organisations listed on the Philanthropy New Zealand website.
